Forest H. Sabin, 83, of Millbury, Ohio, died Tuesday afternoon, February 28, 2017, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. Forest was born in Toledo on April 1, 1933, to Edgar C. and Jeannetta L. (Worthington) Sabin. On June 18, 1956, in Toledo he married Arline N. Leachman and she survives. Forest proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the Genoa American Legion Post #324. He worked for Local #7 Painters Union, for 56 years, as a construction painter in the Toledo area. Forest was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston, a member of the Tiffin Moose Lodge #846, the Ottawa County Conservation Sportsmans League in Martin, Ohio, the Oak Harbor Conservation Club and a life member of the NRA. He and Arline, for many years, enjoyed traveling the United States during the winter months in their RV. Fishing was also one of Forests favorite pastimes. Forest is survived by his wife, Arline, his sons, Steven N. (Nancy) Sabin of Curtice and David B. (Cheryl) Sabin of Oregon, 3 grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 W. Toledo St., Williston, with burial to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorials for Forest be directed to National Museum of the Great Lakes, 1701 Front St., Toledo, OH 43605; St. John Lutheran Church, P.O.
