Fonda Edith Louise Leverton Altaffer

Fonda Edith Louise (Leverton) Altaffer, 80, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Perrysburg to Glen and Louise (McCrory) Leverton on May 19, 1937. Fonda married Donald Altaffer, Sr. on September 23, 1967. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends and loved watching western movies. Fonda was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed spending time with her family. Fonda is survived by her loving children, Glenna Espinoza, Becky (Jim) Wilburn, Pam (Jim West) Burdue, Donna Barret, Dawn Martin, Vicky (Matthew) Dunn, Donald (Lynn) Altaffer, Jr.; 14 grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharon Leverton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Altaffer, Sr.; son, Donald Pickering, Jr., grandchildren, Connie Espinoza, Fonda Martin, David Martin, Jr.; brother, Donald Leverton; and son-in-law, Tony Espinoza. Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at New Belleville Ridge Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
