Florence M. Siemens

Florence M. Siemens age 88 of Toledo, OH passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Elizabeth Scott Community. Florence was born in Toledo on November 25, 1922 to George and Matilda Wandtke. Florence was a graduate of Libby High School, The University of Toledo and a member of Alpha Omicron Phi Sorority. She married the love of her life, Ralph E. Siemens on April 7, 1945 in San Diego, CA. Florence had a brief career teaching at Port Clinton Elementary School. She was a long standing member of the Auxiliary Gift Shop at St. Lukes Hospital. Florence was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. A true homemaker, her proudest moments were times spent with her family. Florence was so thankful to have her children around her to help everyday. Her children were very proud of their mother as well. Florences close friends from her college days were the Group, made up of the Johnsons, Luetkes, Davis and the Kellers. Surviving are her daughters, Dianne William Bolling of Alaska; Kathy Harrison, Toledo; Mary Beth Paul Knake of Perrysburg; son, Craig Siemens Jennifer Beck of Toledo and daughter-in-law Barbara Phil Stuhltrager of Sylvania. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Loraine Cummins, Marilyn Wandtke and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her son Eric and her brothers. Friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Thursday April 7, 2011 from 2-8 pm where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made be made to St. Lukes Auxiliary, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1825 Glendale Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43614.
