Florence A. Palmer

Florence A. Palmer, age 87, of Toledo passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born April 4, 1926 in Buffalo New York to Stanley and Jeanette Colby. She retired as an account representative for the Ohio Citizens Bank where she was employed for many years. She enjoyed reading but her favorite hobby was her roses, tending her garden where some of the bushes were over 60 years old. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John and son, James Palmer. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Ina Burley; nieces, Linda and George Ruth and Juanita and Dale Bockbrader and their families; and her adopted family of Steve and Julia Harsh and their children, Samantha and Brandon. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Friday from 3-8 PM where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Nursing Resource Corporation, especially Lela for their care and compassion.
