Florence B. Kutz

Florence Kutz went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on June 18, 2017, one day prior to her 92nd birthday. Florence was born to George and Florence Munter on June 19, 1925 and grew up in Franklinville, New Jersey. She married James (Jim) Kutz on August 27, 1949 and moved to Toledo in 1962. After living in South Toledo for 40 years, she resided with her son’s family in Grand Rapids, Ohio until more recently moving to Parkcliffe Community. She enjoyed her work as secretary, retiring from Owens Corning. Florence’s sense of humor brought a smile and often laughter to others. She had a servant’s heart, caring for others more than herself. She loved the Lord, most evident during precious times of worship and singing where her face beamed with joy and adoration for the Lord. Most remarkable was Florence’s contentment and joy, even during her later years while struggling with health-related weaknesses. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and brothers George and Charles. She is survived by her sister Betty Good, children Patricia (Tom) Schuster, Janice (Jon) Hoelter and Ken (Jill) Kutz, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, OH. Funeral Services will be held at Christian Fellowship Church, 6711 Pilliod Rd, Holland, OH on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. “Thanks” is not enough for the special, caring staff at Parkcliffe Community who took care of Florence like family. We’d also like to thank the staff of Ohio Living Hospice Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Fellowship Church or Parkcliffe Community.
