Florence Kosakowski

Kosakowski Florence M. Florence M. Kosakowski, age 86, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania. Born in Toledo, Ohio to Anthony and Wanda Kosmatka on September 9, 1921, Florence was a graduate of Woodward High School and worked at Libbey Glass as an inspector for 19 years. She loved bowling and enjoyed traveling and attending dances with her husband. After his death, Florence continued dancing at various festivals in the Toledo area with her friends. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania, the Golden Emblem Club, TAPS, IMA, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #197. Florence is survived by her daughter, Susan John Nowaczyk; sons, John Eva and Larry Kosakowski; grandchildren; Sharon David Fravor, James Dawn Nowaczyk, John Jr. Ruth Nowaczyk, Timothy Stephanie Kosakowski, Michelle Dan Johnson, and Leah Kosakowski; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Lauren, Courtney, Alexis, Alisa, John III, and Cody; sister, Evelyn Kwiatkowski; and sister-in-law, Evan Kosmatak. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; brother, Edward Kosmatak; and great-grandson, Jacob. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-8:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Monday with prayers at the funeral home followed by Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5411 Main St., Sylvania.
