Florence L. Engler

Florence L. Engler, 97, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Florence was born on September 27, 1917 in Marblehead, OH, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Thompkins) Luebcke. On September 28, 1940 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marblehead, OH, she married Joseph Engler and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1996. Florence was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. She loved to bake and spend time with her family. Florence will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Dennis (LaDonna) Engler, Gary (Joanne) Engler and Lou (Laura) Engler; 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren, Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 15 siblings. Visitation will be 10-30 to 11:30am, Monday, November 03, 2014 in Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH, followed by the funeral service conducted by Pastor Karl Kessler at 11:30am. Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Florence may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St., Port Clinton, OH.
