Florence R. Dixon

Florence R. Dixon, 91, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Whitehouse Country Manor, Whitehouse, OH. She was born on October 06, 1917 in Port Clinton, OH, the oldest daughter of Julius and Amelia Hemminger Kreutzfeld. Florence married Delos Dixon in Port Clinton, OH and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1968. She worked as a secretary at the Erie Proving Grounds and the Federal Building in Cleveland, OH. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH and was strong in her catholic faith. Florence enjoyed traveling in their RV with her husband, Delos. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Son: Thomas Sharon Vass Dixon of Sylvania, OH; Grandchildren: Tamara Gary Schroeder of Findlay, OH and Todd Nazrin Dixon of Newport, ME; Great-Grandchildren: Ali, Peyton, Cameron Schroeder and Camilla Dixon; Sisters-in-Law: Mae Dixon and Adhel Kreutzfeld; Nieces & Nephews: Many Loving. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 29 years, sister: Norma Nissen, brothers: Herbert and Robert Kreutzfeld. Visitation will be from 5-8PM, Sunday, September 20, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. A Funeral Mass will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10:00AM, Monday, September 21, 2009 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH, following family prayers at the funeral home at 9:30AM. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Florence to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
