Florence A. Bodary

Florence A. Mammau Bodary, age 98 of Maumee passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Florence was born in Springhill, Ohio on February 16, 1913 to Gottleib T. and Mary E. Rout Siegenthaler. Florence was employed as a presser at Sanitary Cleaners in Maumee. She will be remembered as a spunky and feisty woman. For the past 11 years she had lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dale Layman. She enjoyed reading and word puzzles, camping and fishing. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Dale Layman; grandchildren, Becky Larry Hackenberg, Steven Akenberger, Cheryl Hunt Sears, Michael Kathy Akenberger, Douglas Jody Layman, Pamela Bob Gallion. Also surviving are 15 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Juanita Siegenthaler and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Olen Boyd and Royal Bodary; brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Samuel, Max and Donald Siegenthaler and grandson, Mark Layman. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 2-6 pm. Interment will be private.
