Fernando B. Lucero

Fernando B. Lucero, 57, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by his loving family. Fernando was born on February 19, 1955 in Tijuana, the son of Fernando C. and Amelia Barajas Lucero. On July 15, 1974 in Williamsburg, VA, he married Rosalinda Vargas and she survives. Fernando was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. He was a member of The Church of Truth Ministries, Gypsum, OH. Fernando enjoyed demolition derby exhibitions, preparing cars, painting, cooking and music, especially Mexican music. He loved spending time with his family and giving advice. Fernando will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Wife: Rosalinda Lucero; Parents: Fernando C. and Amelia Lucero; Mother-in-law: Pauline Vargas; Children: Rosalinda Vern Keefe, Fernando E. Kira Lucero and Carlos N. Amanda Lucero; Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Emily, Julia, Christian, Omar, Diego, Liliana; 3 Sisters; 3 Brothers and many loving nieces and nephews. Fernando was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Ramon Vargas, brother-in-law: Bill Greear and children: Benjamin, Lilliana and Lissette. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, January 21, 2013 at The Church of Truth Ministries, 745 S. Lake Rd., Gypsum, OH, with visitation one hour prior from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Military honors will be provided by the Marines Forever, Marine Corp. group, Sandusky, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Fernando may be given to Stein Hospice.
