Fannie Sue Heard Fan, age 95, passed away Thursday February 11, 2016 at Sunset Village. She was born March 22, 1920 in DeQuincy, Louisiana to Dr. John B. and Grace (Lane) Robinson.Her early years were spent in Louisiana where she taught business education at DeQuincy High School for 30 years. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University receiving her bachelors degree in 1941 and her masters in 1951. Fannie Sue married James Cline Heard of Alabama in 1944 and they had a daughter, Rebecca Ann in 1945. She was a member of First Baptist Church of DeQuincy Louisiana, Adah chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, the DeQuincy Study Club, National society of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority,Louisiana Retired teachers Association, LSU Alumni Association, she served on various civic organizations, Sylvania Senior Center, Monday Musicale of Toledo and Toledo Museum of Art. Her last years were spent in Sylvania, OH to be close to her daughter and son in law, Hal. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ann (Hal) Fike; grandson, James Todd Cravey. Preceded in death by her husband, James and her parents. A memorial gathering will take place on Tuesday from 2-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd). A memorial service and burial will take place in Dequincy, LA at a later date. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio 30000 E. River Rd Perrysburg, OH or a benevolent organization for children
