F. Joanne Taylor

Joanne Taylor, age 87 of Toledo, Ohio and formerly of Stephens City, VA passed away Wednesday February 3, 2021 in the Lakes of Monclova Care Center, Maumee, Ohio. She was born May 13, 1933 in Morganton, NC to Hunter and Azile (Burnette) Taylor. After her birth the family moved to the Detroit, MI area where she graduated from Pershing High School. Joanne attended business school and began working for American Standard. Shortly thereafter she moved to Virginia where she continued her education and began working for the former ABEX now Federal Mogul until her retirement. A lover of all animals, she rescued and raised many cats during her lifetime. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; great-nephew, Eric Reeve; and great-niece, Sydney Morrow. Surviving are her sisters, Mary (Ron) Morrow and Sue (Vic) Jones; nieces, Kristen (Mike) Mori and Rhonda Morrow; and nephews, Stephen (Loralee) and Matthew (Tomires) Morrow. Services are private. The family suggests donations in Joanne’s memory be to the donor’s local animal shelter.
