Evelyn T. Walczak

Evelyn Walczak, born on January 29, 1935, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished spending time with her family.

While raising her five children, Evelyn worked at St. Patrick’s of Heatherdowns. Once her children were older, she continued her career at the Lion Store. Evelyn had a passion for sewing, crafts, shopping, and enjoyed trips to the casinos.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Arthur; her sisters, Marie Bryant and Barbra Roberts; her brother, Tom Trompeter; her children, Linda Nelson, Greg (Anne) Walczak, Ken Walczak, Tricia (Terry) Drewyor, and Brian (Gerri) Walczak. She was a proud grandmother to Heather (Ryan) Nelson, Matt (Stephanye) Drewyor, Morgan Walczak, Lindsey (Jake) Boucher, Chase Walczak, Leah Walczak, Brandon Walczak and Taylor Walczak and a cherished great-grandmother to Jaden, Bryson, and Kolson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Marie Trompeter, and her sister, Rita Gries.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Jen and Char, and to Ohio Living Hospice for their compassionate support. Evelyn’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4210 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614 where a funeral mass will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Living Hospice. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, OH.
