Evelyn May Taylor

Evelyn M. Taylor, age 89, passed away Jan. 8, 2011at the Goerlich Center. The daughter of Cyrus and Eva Newell, she was born Nov. 22, 1921 in Toledo. She was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and married Roscoe Taylor Sign Painter on Feb. 8, 1942. Evelyn was a member of Monroe St United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughters, Pam Bill Shaler; Beverly Dickerson of Texas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe and son, Tom Taylor. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey Rd where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday followed by interment at Restlawn Memorial Park.
