Evelyn L. Rohrbacher

Evelyn L. Rohrbacher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at home on January 7, 2018. Evelyn was born in Chillicothe, Ohio to Charles and Thelma Rooker. She grew up in Toledo on Peanut Hill and graduated from Waite High School. While in high school Evelyn served as the president of Future Retailers of Ohio. She had a long career working in retail, starting at Lamson’s Department store and later as a Giftware Buyer for a fine jewelry retailer. Evelyn volunteered at Flower Hospital for over 25 years and received a Presidential Recognition award for her services. She also taught Sunday school. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed traveling, shopping and studying history. Evelyn loved life and had a vibrant spirit. She touched many people and will be missed by all. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Diana (Tom) Kish; son, Bruce (Mary) Rohrbacher; grandchildren, Darcy Hawes, Chad, Amy Rohrbacher and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack and brother, Ronald. Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street. Interment will be private.
