Evelyn A. Rankin

Evelyn A. Rankin, age 89, passed away on June 20, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, but lived in Circleville, Ohio, from 1920 until 1941. She lived in the Port Clinton area from 1945 until 1968 when she and her children moved to Mesa, Arizona. Then in August, 2005, she moved to Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle who raised her, Ruth and John Ward, and her husband, John P. Rankin, who was the property disposal officer at Eire Army Depot. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Rankin, of Las Vegas, and her son, Robert Rankin, of San Leandro, Calif. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Arrangements are being handled by the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH.
