Evelyn M. Leaser, 85, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Friday, August 12, 2011, at Memorial Hospital, Fremont, Ohio. She was born May 7, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles and Edith Hoedt Ravas. On December 27, 1945, in Napoleon, Ohio, she married Lowell E. Leaser, and he preceded her in death January 10, 2001. Evelyn worked in food service at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, for 10 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, and a former member of the John A. Fader American Legion Post #114 Auxiliary, Oak Harbor. Evelyn was a very outgoing and giving person who loved her dogs, Lucky, Trixie and Duke. Above all she was a loving mother and grandmother. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Charles Sharp of Oak Harbor and Janet James Cooper Peters of Leesburg, Florida, son, Thomas Vicki Leaser of Oak Harbor, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Ruth Dornbusch and Irene Dewitz. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2011, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, with visitation one hour prior to the services from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Evelyn may be given to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449; or Hospice of Memorial Hospital, 430 S. Main St., Clyde, OH 43410. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor is handling the arrangements.
