Evelyn S. Laplante

Evelyn S. LaPlante, 85, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 5, 1924, in Toledo, to Martin and Nettie Gominska Grandowicz. Evelyn was a graduate of Woodward High School and on August 9, 1947, she married Arthur D. LaPlante in Toledo. She was a homemaker who loved sewing, baking cookies, going to garage sales and most of all, taking care of others. Evelyn is survived by her children, Louis Tricia House, Mark Monica and Geannie Mike Lusk; grandchildren, Eric, Kyle, Ryan, Louis Jr., Monique and Cassandra. She was preceded in death by her husband, ten brothers and one sister. Friends and family may visit on Monday from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
