Evelyn M. Kleinhans, 79, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. Evelyn was born in Port Clinton, OH on April 11, 1930, the daughter of Karl and Emma Kliick Krepel. She was a graduate of the Port Clinton High School. On December 20, 1947 in Covington, KY, she married James Kleinhans and he survives. Evelyn was self employed, working in the family owned plumbing & heating business. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. Evelyn was a den mother, bible school teacher, homeroom mother and past treasurer of the Riverview Auxiliary. She was a member of the Ohio Nomads, Family Motor Coach Assoc. and the Golf Lakes Womens Club in Bradenton, FL. She especially loved spending time with her husband and family. Survivors include: Loving Husband of 62 years, James Kleinhans of Port Clinton, OH; Sons: James M. Vi Kleinhans of Bascom, OH, Karl Kleinhans of Sandusky, OH, Paul Kleinhans of Toledo, OH, Charles I. Stacy Kleinhans of Port Clinton, OH and Scott Kleinhans of Put-in-Bay, OH; Daughter-in-Law: Laura Kleinhans; 10 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; 6 Step-Grandchildren; 16 Step-Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Joanna Moran of California and Elinor Andy Zekany of Port Clinton, OH; Sister-in-Law: Janice Klenk and Brother-in-Law: Harry Delores Kleinhans. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Ted Austin at 11:00AM, Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Faith United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Evelyn may be given to Stein Hospice of Sandusky, OH or to Faith United Methodist Church.
