Evelyn V. Keller

Evelyn V. Keller, age 86, passed away Tuesday November 23, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The daughter of Richard and Catherine Hopkins, she was born July 15, 1929. She was a graduate of Scott High School. She retired from Visiting Nurse Services. In retirement she moved to Florida to live at The Villages, where she lived for 24 years. She had the unique opportunity to see The Villages develop during that time. She loved when family and friends came to visit. She was the greatest hostess, she always had a full itinerary of entertainment, sightseeing adventures and local restaurants for her guests all planned out. She picked up the game of golf at the age of 60 and became an avid player including a hole in one. She also enjoyed playing pool, cards and frequent visits to the Casino $$$!!!. Evelyn had a great life and lived life to the fullest. She is survived by her sons, David (Carol) Niezgoda, Robert (Sandy) Niezgoda; step children, Mike and Marty Keller; grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Niezgoda, April Stephens, Nicholas (Jennifer) Niezgoda, Benjamin Niezgoda; great grandchildren, Addison and Brendan; sisters, Jean Heidersheid and Ruth Whalen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; siblings, Marie, Sally, Kitty, Ann, William, Richard, Helen, Margaret; and great granddaughter, Lila. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 3-8 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
