Evelyn K. Jensen

Evelyn K. Jensen, 84, of Oak Harbor, OH died Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Otterbein North Shore Assisted Living Community, Lakeside, OH. She was born on July 22, 1925 in Port Clinton, OH to John E. and Ella S. Witt Hyde. On December 20, 1943 in Tacoma, WA she married Vernon L. Jensen, and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2005. Evelyn worked as a waitress at Van Attas for 35 years and later at Blakelys and Our Family Restraunt in Oak Harbor. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, where she also was a member of the Sarah Circle, and also a member of the Oak Harbor V.F.W. Post #8732 Auxiliary. Evelyn enjoyed baking, playing bingo, playing cards, traveling, camping, and especially spending time with her family. Evelyn is survived by her son: David Martha Jensen of Oak Harbor, 5 grandchildren: Eric Michelle Witt, Jackie Jim Jarrett, Craig Addie Jensen, Debbie Jensen Jeremy Renwand, and Amy Micah Boss, 9 great grandchildren: Lindsey Witt, Wesley Witt, Kristen Witt, Corey Witt, Jordan Jarrett, Justin Jarrett, Rebecca Jensen, Maggie Jensen, and Aidan Boss, sister-in-law: Donna Hyde of Oak Harbor, and son-in-law, Norm Susie Witt of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Judy Witt, sister: Irene Jensen, and brother: Willard Hyde. Visitation will be Monday, April 19, 2010 from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, with interment to follow in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor or Otterbein North Shore, 9400 N. Shore Blvd. Lakeside, Ohio.
