Evelyn E. Gradel-Sindicic

Evelyn E. Gradel-Sindicic, 91, of Toledo OH, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 18, 1924 to John and Emily (Schmid) Karnowski in Pony, Texas. Evelyn was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a volunteer with many charitable organizations and an active member of Sacred Heart Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carmen Fosgate; her brothers, Harry Karns and Warren Karnowski; daughter, Marie Gradel; her loving husband, George Gradel, father of her children, who passed from this life December 21, 1978; and Frank Sindicic her loving husband and companion during their later years, who passed away on March 24, 2001. Left to cherish her memory are her children, George (Nancy) Gradel, Jean (Bill) Roberts and Rich (Donna) Gradel; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and her much- loved nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Monday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 with a Mass at Sacred Heart Parish at 11 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5725 Hill Avenue, Toledo, OH 43615.
