Evelyn F. Brown

Evelyn F. Brown, age 95, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in the Swan Creek Health Care Center. She was born February 10, 1915 in Kenton, OH to John and Mary Conkle Friedel. A dedicated and loving homemaker, Evelyn was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee where she was a member of their Altar and Rosary Society. An avid golfer, Evelyn was a member of Heatherdowns Country Club and enjoyed making quilts for her family and reading. The widow of Winship H. Brown, Evelyn is survived by her loving family, daughter, Dorothy Larry Earls; son, David Elise Brown; daughters-in-law, Anne Brown and Carol Brown; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Winship C. Brown. The family would like to thank the staff at Swan Creek and Senior Independence Hospice for their loving care of Evelyn. Family and friends may visit Friday, December 3, 2010 from 4-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will begin Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg.
