Evelyn F. Baugh

Evelyn F. Baugh, M.D., age 89, of Toledo, died peacefully on April 19, 2015. She was born February 1, 1926 in Metamora to the late Francis and Ruth (Ries) Koury. Evelyn earned a nursing degree in 1954 from Wayne State University where she would graduate from medical school in 1962. She was a Pediatrician, beginning in private practice in Detroit in 1964. Evelyn would later become a Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Ohio, serving for more than 20 years. She was the longtime Co-director of both the Ambulatory Pediatric Division and Behavioral Pediatrics Curriculum while serving as the Womens Liaison Officer to the Dean, Regional Council for Women in Medicine from 1984-96. Dr. Baugh is survived by her sister, Cynthia Stewart and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert D. Baugh; and two sisters, Alice Sanslone and Ruthann Brown. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Patricks of Heatherdowns Church, 4201Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (please meet at church).
