Evelyn Marie Balbach

Evelyn Marie Balbach, 93, of Brainerd, MN, died peacefully on November 27, 2012, at Bethany Good Samaritan, she was born on September 17, 1919 in Heimdal, N.D., the daughter of Emma and Melvin O. Sedahl. She attended the University of North Dakota, unable to graduate due to WWII. In 1947, Evelyn married Raymond Earl Balbach in Detroit, MI and they moved to the suburb of Huntington Woods, MI. She worked as a professional executive secretary for the Department of Defense, for more than 30 years until she retired in 1979. She enjoyed reading, bridge and sewing. Lifes a journey which she fully lived. She has been a widow for 31 years and deeply missed her husband. Her journey has taken her on another road and she will be deeply missed by her family. She was loving and kind remembering all of her family and thinking of her last. She is survived by a Son: Raymond Chip Vickie Balbach of Greensburg, PA and a Daughter: Shellie Alan Cibuzar of Brainerd, MN; 6 Grandchildren: Ryan Balbach, Sara Alan Jones, Gregory Gina Cibuzar, Branelle Scott Rodriguez, Andrea Cibuzar and Ariana Cibuzar. She has three great-grandsons: Dylan Jones, Chase Jones and Paul Cibuzar. A Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader at 10:00am, Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, with visitation from 9-10am prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
