Eveline A. Wiltse

Eveline A. Wiltse, 92, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 15, 2015. She was born in Toledo as one of eight children to Helen and Carl Schwartz. Eveline was a graduate of Waite High School and a post graduate of nursing school where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. Eveline worked as a surgical nurse at the Robinwood Hospital which later became St. Lukes Hospital. She was the head surgical nurse at the Maumee location of St. Lukes as she completed 37 years of service before retiring. Eveline was known for her sincere compassion toward her patients and their families. She had a love for sewing, playing cards, baking Christmas cookies, dolls, and sightseeing with her sister, Lucille. Eveline enjoyed her trips to Lakeside/Marblehead, OH with her family. She had a deep faith in God and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Eveline adored her family, especially her grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Wiltse. Eveline is survived by her son, Dale (Vicky) Wiltse; grandchildren, Matthew Wiltse and Jennifer Wiltse; sister, Lucille Evans; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Wiltse; sisters, Lavern (Leroy) Phillips, and Ruth (Merle) Jackson; and brothers, William (Alta) Schwartz, Emil (Bea) Schwartz, and Carl (Jean) Schwartz. Friends and family may visit from 2:00-9:00 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1702 Upton Ave. Toledo, OH 43607.
