Eva Toth, 91, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away on February 1, 2025. Eva was born in Budapest, Hungary on March 17, 1933. She met her Husband – Julius, in Budapest, in a Dance Hall. She worked in Budapest at Magyar Optical Camera Research Center. They both fled Hungary during the 1956 revolution and were married in Vienna, Austria. They immigrated to the United States, first to New Jersey, then sponsored by St. Stephens’s Church to relocate to Toledo, Ohio
Eva’s life revolved around her entire family, whom she loved spending time with. Her passion was always cooking/baking and carrying out her Hungarian traditions with her family and friends. No one would ever leave her household without being offered a dish of Hungarian cuisine and desert. Always kind hearted to anyone she met.
She enjoyed traveling through Europe and United States with her family. Her favorite vacation destination was Walt Disney World. Eva loved collecting Hungarian porcelain figurines and dolls. She always talked about her Hungarian heritage and supported many functions at St. Stephen’s Church (Epiphany of the Lord).
Eva was proceeded in death by her parents, Valentine and Maria Majoros. Eva is survived by her loving Husband of 68 years, Julius; sons, David and Julius (Sharon); and grandchildren Liana and Adam.
Visitation will be at the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, Rossford, Ohio on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Stephen’s Church, Genesee St., Toledo, OH, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions made to St. Stephen’s Church (Epiphany of the Lord).
