Eva Stavroulakis

Eva Stavroulakis, age 89, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends.

Born on September 21, 1936, in Athens, Greece, Eva was the beloved daughter of the late Vagelis and Angeliki Christou. On April 16, 1960, she married the love of her life, George Stavroulakis. With their young children, they came to New York City under the sponsorship of George’s employer, Omega Watches, before making Toledo their permanent home in 1971.

Eva worked alongside her husband in their family business, George’s Watch Repair. She was also passionate about preserving her heritage and spent many years teaching the Greek language at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, inspiring students to embrace their culture. Deeply connected to her homeland, Eva cherished spending time each year in Greece surrounded by family and lifelong friends. She found joy in listening to Greek music, spending time with her grandchildren, and passing her language and culture on to them. Eva was known for her warm hospitality and the memorable gatherings she hosted for family and friends. She delighted in preparing homemade Greek dishes, serving traditional Greek coffee, and creating elegant dinner parties with her finest china and beautifully set tables.

Above all, Eva was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Maria Levine and Angeliki (Mark) Little; and grandchildren, Eva Maria Little and Nicholas George Levine. Eva was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., concluded with Trisagion prayers at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 802 N. Superior St., Toledo. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
