Eva Castillo

Eva Castillo, 62, of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was born in Port Clinton on July 5, 1958. Eva worked in the Ottawa County Auditors Office for several years and the City of Port Clinton for more than 20 years retiring in 2015. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, Port Clinton Elks Lodge, Port Clinton Eagles, Port Clinton VFW Auxiliary, and the former Port Clinton Moose. Eva enjoyed watching sports and cheering for her favorite teams, Ohio State, Browns, Indians, Cavaliers and 49ers. Eva is survived by her siblings, Mary Lou (Jack) Steele, Dolly (Joe) Gallardo, Saul (Rosie) Castillo, Armando (Nancy) Castillo, Rachel Barboza, Shirley Castillo, Debbie (Sam) Conte, 24 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and her cat kids, MonAmi and Frankie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elia (Garza) Goff, father, Jesus C. Castillo, stepfather, Billy Goff and brother Jesus Castillo. Eva’s family is welcoming all to join them at a Graveside Service to celebrate her life, at 12 noon, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at LaCarpe Cemetery, Port Clinton.
