Eunice G. Nissen, 92, of Oregon, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, in the Edward and Marion Knight Hospice Center, Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born in Williston, Ohio, on July 27, 1922, to Raymond A. and Gertrude W. (Monk) Lowe. On June 6, 1946, in Williston, Ohio, she married the love of her life, Ralph F. Nissen, and on April 28, 2010, he preceded her in death. Eunice was a wife, mother, and homemaker who also helped her husband on the Nissen family farm. During WWII, from 1941-1946, she worked at the former Erie Ordnance in Port Clinton, Ohio, assembling guns for the war effort. She was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston and served the church in many ways including as a past president of the Rachel Circle. She was a life member and past president of the Christ Dunberger Post #537 American Legion Auxiliary in Oregon, the Oregon Homemakers Club, and the Cooley Canal Yacht Club. Eunice is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Sharon and Don Ludwig and Marcia and Greg Konczal; grandchildren and their spouses: Matthew and Heather Ludwig, Michael and Christi Ludwig, Erika and Roger Stewart, Nathan and Aimee Konczal, Philip and Amanda Konczal, Monica and Brad Smith, Elizabeth and James Foster; great grandchildren: Abigail and Allison Ludwig, Kaleb, Mackenzie, and Kallie Ludwig, Taylor and Hannah Ulik, Blake Stewart, Jeb and Autumn Konczal, Everly Konczal, Skyler, Brandon, Willow, and Jacob Foster, and Monica and Brads soon-to-be child; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mae Kinsel, and many nieces and nephews. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Gertrude, her loving husband, Ralph, and brother, Alvin Lowe. A funeral service for Eunice will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014, in St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 W. Toledo St., Williston, OH. Interment will follow in the Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, OH 43430. Memorials for Eunice may be directed to the church or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
