Eugene "Casey" S. Superczynski

Eugene S. “Casey” Superczynski, 87, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2021 , at The Toledo Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1934 , in Toledo to Albert and Helen (Nisiewicz) Superczynski .

Eugene attended Central Catholic High School and later became the first in his family to go to college . He graduated from the University of Toledo at the top of his class, all while raising three children. Eugene w ent on to work for Auto lite , Toledo Beaver Tools , and retired from Chrysler. Casey had a lifelong passion for ballroom dancing which he taught for many years at Arthur Murry. He enjoyed playing cards, golf and socializing with his many groups of friends. Casey was devoted to his family and friends and will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and dry wit.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Sharkey) Superczynski, with whom he shared more than 50 years of beautiful marriage; and siblings, Angie Mazik and Albert Super.

Casey is survived by Deniece “Denny” Kevern , his high school sweetheart whom he was lucky enough to rekindle a relationship with for the last ten years ; loving children , David (Mary) Superczynski, Steven Superczynski , and Scott (Tammy) Super; daughter, LuAnne (Tom) Ra m sdell; grandchildren, Michael, Alex and Kyle Superczynski , Samantha and Rachel Super , Jennifer, Melissa, and Grace Ra m sdell; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Super; and many nieces , nephews , and friends.

Family and f riends may visit in the Walker Funeral Home , 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 , from 2 -8 p . m . where a time of sharing will be held at 7: 00 p . m . Visitation will continue Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 9:30 a . m . at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane , until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Central Catholic High School .
