Eugene Reid Gene age 71, passed away in his home October 25, 2016 with his family by his side. The son of Guy Jr. and Juanita, he was born December 11, 1944 in Hamtramk, MI. He was a graduate of Northwestern High School. Gene served his country in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965 in the 101st Airborne and honorably discharged as a Sgt. He enjoyed a long career with GM as a robotics engineer retiring in 2000. He loved collecting movies, music and taking long drives to different states. Most of all he enjoyed his long conversations with his son Terry. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Madison Reid; son, Terry (Diana) Reid. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Howard Reid Jr.; brothers, Phillip Douglas Reid, Clinton Glenn Reid, Guy Herbert Reid III. Ive been blessed to have you as my husband, lover and best friend. Rest easy baby Love your wife This is dedicated to a special someone. This someone is my best friend, father and a good math teacher, I love him soooo much. He always had something nice to say to me. I miss him a lot. I love playing with him, saying yuck to brussel sprouts with him and most of all going to Detroit and hotels. He was very lovely. I love you just as much as when I was born. My smart man and lovely father. You were the BEST father ever. Have a peaceful journey. We love you even more everyday when we get up!
