Eugene F Eversole

Eugene F. Eversole, 89, of Perrysburg passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital. Eugene was born on April 29, 1925 to Lemuel and Augusta (McElroy) Eversole in Lima, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army as an engineer during WWII, Korea and Vietnam and also worked as a security guard for the Federal Building in Toledo, Ohio. Eugene was a member of many organizations including Zoar Lutheran Church, Perrysburg, Ohio , the Scottish Rite-Valley of Dayton, Ohio ; F & AM-706 Fort Amanda-Lima, Ohio; MOAA-MIL, Officers Association of America; VFW Post 1148 Bowling Green, Ohio ; American Legion Post 320-Maumee, Ohio; Disabled America Veterens-Chapter Buckeye-State 8; and the Sons of the Union Veterens of the Civil War-Camp McPherson 66. Eugene is survived by his brother, Ronald Dale (Sonja) Eversole, Findlay, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife Hazel. A Memorial service will be held at Witzler- Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419) 666-3121 on Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at 1 PM where the family will receive friends after 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg, Ohio .
