Ethel R. Thomas

Missionary Ethel R. Thomas, 64, of Toledo, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania. She moved to Toledo in 1967 and became a member of True Church of God of the Apostolic Faith. Ethel Thomas worked for the Lucas County Board of Mental Retardation DD for over 30 years and served as a foster parent for the Lucas County Childrens Services. Missionary Ethel Thomas leaves to cherish her memories her sisters; Edna M. Brown, Rosie L. Yarbrough (Charles) of Pine Bluff, AK, Gloria Whaley of Memphis, TN, Annette Lofton of Moreno Valley, CA, and Dorothy Thomas-Berry (Fred) of Toledo; brothers, Ed Thomas, Jr. and DeWayne Thomas of Toledo; a number of step-sisters and brothers of Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Viewing with family and friends will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. with Homegoing Services following at 11:00 a.m. in the True Church of God of the Apostolic Faith, 2146 N. 12th St. Toledo. Bishop Daniel F. Day officiant. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Flower Hospital and Ebeid Hospice Residence for all of their help throughout Ms. Thomas last days of her life here on earth.
