Ethel E.W. Hehr

Ethel E.W. Hehr, 100, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, March 16, 2008 at her residence. She was born on February 27, 1908 in Castalia, OH, to Ross & Carrie Boyer Whitaker. Ethel married Milton Hehr on October 22, 1925 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1997. She was a 25 year member of the EUB Church, which became Faith United Methodist and thereafter she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Port Clinton. She was a past-matron and 50 year member of the O.E.S. # 267 in Port Clinton. Ethel was also past-president of the Ottawa County Womens Republican Club. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Children: Dr. Milton Hehr of Kansas City, MO, Audrey Razmus of Springfield, Oregon, Elizabeth Hehr-Desi and Son-In-Law: Paul Desi of Paris, Chatenay Malabry France; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11-1 P.M. on Thursday, March 20, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton. A Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader at 1 P.M. following the visitation. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions in memory of Ethel may be given to Humane Society of Ottawa County, Trinity United Methodist Church, or to the O. E. S. # 267.
