Ethel M. Gregg, 92, of Genoa, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa. Ethel was born in Woodville, Ohio on March 31, 1918 to Virgil and Carrie Pryor Andrews. She married Harvey N. Gregg in Woodville on August 27, 1940 and he preceded her in death May 13, 1990. Ethel had worked at the former Platts 5 & 10 Store in Genoa and later as a substitute cook for the Genoa Area Local Schools for many years. She was a long time member of the former Athenian Club of Genoa, and a member of Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville, OH. Ethel was very family orientated and enjoyed spending time with all of her relatives. For many years she attended aquatic therapy at the YMCA in Oregon, OH and over those years made many friends. Survivors in clued her daughters, Phyllis E. Herman of Woodville and Cora Lee Gregg of Genoa, grandchildren, Christine Neil Sabo, Patricia Dreier, David Robin Herman, and great-grandchildren, Kristi, Carrie, Tom, Amy, Jay, Staci, Sarah, and Holly. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Margery Gregg and Ginny Andrews. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Kenneth & Arthur Andrews, and sister, Alice Elmer. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM, Saturday, June 26, 2010 in Solomon Lutheran Church, 305 W. Main St. Woodville, OH, preceded by visitation from 12 until 1 PM. Visitation will also be conducted from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Friday, June 25, 2010 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. Interment will take place in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. The family suggests that memorials, in Ethels memory, be directed to Solomon Lutheran Church, Genoa Retirement Village, 300 Cherry St., Genoa, OH 43430, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
