Esther M. Thrun

Esther M. Thrun, age 90, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was born July 24, 1920 in Toledo to William J. and Anna Forner Mack. Esther attended St. Marys grade school and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School where she was very active as a volunteer. She and husband, Clifford, received the Golden Shamrock Award from Central Catholic for being outstanding alumni. Esther was also a very active parishioner and volunteer at St. Catherine Church and School, where she attended for 53 years. She was known as a dynamic sales person. Esther worked for JC Penneys, Steins at Miracle Mile, Bakers Store downtown, and most recently with Manzel Flowers. Esthers greatest love in life was her family. She enjoyed playing cards, games and most of all being with her family. The widow of Clifford Thrun who passed away August 16, 2006, Esther is survived by her loving family, children, Judy Harry Hart, Janet Frank, deceased Nagle and Gary Christine Thrun; grandchildren, Lori Craig Bauer, Jeff Hart, Dennis Kathie Hart, Doug Margie Hart, Frank Jody Nagle, Kim Steve Bisesi, Michael Nagle, Mark Thrun, Stacy Mark DelVerne, Kevin Sheetal Thrun and Rachael Thrun; 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. In addition to her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by her son-in-law; four brothers and a sister. Family and friends may visit Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Monday, September 20, 2010 at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:15 am in St. Rose Church, Perrysburg. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Esthers family would like to thank the staff at Waterford Assisted Living at Levis Commons for their loving care of Esther.
