Esther C. Suszka

Esther C. Suszka, 87, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Hospice of the Foothills in Seneca, SC. She was born on October 22, 1933, to Walter and Esther Wendel in Toledo, Ohio. She was a graduate of Woodward High School, The University of Toledo where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority and a long time member of The First United Church of Christ. Esther loved spending time with her family, and took great pride in decorating and caring for her home. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, loving, and generous to all she met. She enjoyed playing golf and watching sports with her husband James J. Suszka of sixty-five years. She is survived by her husband, James J. Suszka; daughter, Susan (Stephen) Mihaly; son, James (Patricia) Suszka Jr.; grandsons, Stephen Mihaly III and James Suszka III; granddaughters, Stephanie (Raphael) Fernandes, Margaret Suszka and Madeliene Suszka. She is preceded in death by sisters Virginia, Helen, and Phyllis. Friends may gather at The Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio (just west of Corey Road) on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Sylvania United Church of Christ, 7240 Erie St. Sylvania, Ohio 43560. Interment in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial.
