Esther B Snetz

Esther Bell “Jenny” Snetz, age 75, of Walbridge, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Jenny was born in Benton Ridge, Ohio on June 12, 1939 to Lester and Elnora (Hogrefe) Brown. She married James M. Snetz on April 9, 1983. Jenny was a member of Dendarah Court #10, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Toledo, Ohio, where she was a Past High Priestess, member of the Highland Lassies, Patrol Unit, Outlaw Unit, Sisters in Sync, and the EGATS Unit. Jenny was also 2012 International Shrine Hillbilly Queen of the Hillbilly Shriners of North America Ladies Auxiliary Unit. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fostoria Chapter # 94, and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Fort Findlay Chapter where she earned national recognition for her quilt entry. She also belonged to Daughters of Union Veterans, Tent 139, Fostoria, Ohio. Jenny’s main enjoyments in life were the Ladies Shrine, going to parades, fishing, quilting and supporting the Shrine of the North America Children’s Hospitals. Jenny is survived by her loving husband, James M. Snetz; brothers, Lester J. (Darlene) Brown, Jr., and John J. Brown; sisters, Gay N. Jones, Romell E. Smith; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved dog, Scotty. She is preceded in death by her brother, Richard R. Brown; infant sister, Clara Lena Brown; and half- brother, Richard G. Killinger. Friends will be received on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. with Ladies Shrine Services at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 15, 2015 at 11:00 am following a hour visitation prior at Good Shepherd Methodist Church, 105 W. Main St., Benton Ridge, Ohio 45816 with Rev. Brandon Kelly, officiating. Burial will follow at Benton Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Zenobia Shrine Transportation Fund. www.witzlershank.com
