Esther Celia Jane Nowowiejski

Esther Celia Jane Nowowiejski, 79, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Bowling Green Care Center. She was born on December 29, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Harley and Ruth (O’Hara) Leiby and she married Edward Nowowiejski. Esther was employed for over 30 years at the Swanton turnpike plaza and also worked in childcare for 6 years. Her passion and joy in life was taking care of children. Esther loved the children she took in and provided for. She was a wonderful caregiver who will be greatly missed. Esther is survived by her loving brother, Karl R. (Anneliese) Leiby, many nieces and nephews and special friend, Jessica (Tony) Worman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; siblings, Forrest, Wayne and John Leiby and Elsie Dauterman and best friend of 47 years, Mildred C. Kirkendall. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879). Funeral services will begin following the visitation at 4:00 P.M. Burial will be held privately at Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Karl Leiby.
