Esther Diane Cutlip

February 29, 1952 — May 13, 2026

Where there is deep grief, there is great love. Esther Diane Cutlip, age 74, of Point Place, passed peacefully on May 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. My grandma holds many titles, but her compassion, strength, and generosity remained constant through each one.

A true leap year baby, Diane was born on February 29, 1952, to Naida Krontz. She later married my Papa Rocky, and together had my dad, Rocky Junior. Both of whom share a May anniversary passing date with her, years apart.

Later in life, after her divorce, she met the man with whom she shared her greatest love story, Raymond Chicolini. Together, she and Ray shared a wonderful almost 30 years together. Grandma and Papa's house was filled with laughter, traditions, and unwavering love.

She was known for her hospitality to all, her honest advice, and the way she lit up every room she entered. Whether she was making her famous Mac and cheese, taking care of the babies at the daycare, tending to her garden, taking trips all over the world with Ray, or playing cards with her people, she created the kind of memories that will live on forever.

She is survived by so many loved ones, including her spouse, Ray Chicolini, granddaughter Courtnee (Beau) Kramer, grandson Kyle Cutlip, Stepson Jamison (Emily) Chicolini, cousin and lifelong best friend Judy (Bill) Palmer, and grandchildren Zoey and Nash (Kramer), Ava and Jack (Chicolini).

She is preceded in death by her son (Rocky Jr), father of her child (Rocky Sr), mother (Naida), Aunts: Phyllis Krontz, Naidine Shively, Donna Jenkins, and Uncle Robert Krontz, and nephew (Daniel Cutlip).

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, at Walker Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., immediately followed by a graveside service at Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the OSU ICU medical team for their compassion and care for our sweet angel.

So let the tears fall when they come. Let the laughter rise when the memories bring warmth. Let grief and joy coexist, for they are just love in different forms.
