Esther T. “Bushia” Michalak, 98, of Perrysburg, Ohio, formerly of Point Place, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 6, 2021, with her son and family at her side, at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg. She was born on August 2, 1922, the daughter of James and Martha (Printke) Studniewski, in Toledo, Ohio. She married Chester J. “Spud” Michalak on September 27, 1941 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1999. Bushia had worked for the Lee Williams House of Meats in Point Place for over 20 years and was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Point Place. Bushia was a very kind and nurturing person who spent her life caring others. She was always there to lend a helping hand, be it physically or emotionally. She wanted to make sure everyone knew they were loved and appreciated. She was humble in all that she did, taking great joy in other’s successes. She loved to make Polish Coffee Cake and other Polish treats for family and friends and every year looked forward to canning fruits and vegetables, which she did until 2017. Her quiet and determined dedication to her family, friends, those in need and her God, will always be remembered. Bushia is survived by her son and his wife, Charles & Mary Lynn Michalak; grandchildren, Rachael Michalak, John (Elizabeth) Michalak and Mary (Robert Zepeda) Michalak; and great granddaughter, Katherine Michalak. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Virginia, Richard, Harry, Danny, Rose and Angie. Visitation for Bushia will be from 2-6 PM, Thursday, June 10, 2021 in the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio, with a Rosary Service beginning at 5 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front St., Perrysburg, preceded by visitation from 10-11 AM. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Toledo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Helping Hands of St. Louis, 443 6th St., Toledo, OH 43605 or St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 738 S.
