Ernest Isaac, Sr.

Ernest Isaac Sr., 81, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born in New Kensington, PA on September 9, 1927 to Nicholas and Anna Joseph Isaac. On April 9, 1981 in Port Clinton, OH he married Janet Miller and she survives. Ernest was a retired electrician for the United States Gypsum Co. and had his own electrical contracting business. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving during World War II and the Korean War. Ernest enjoyed reading, working and spending time with his family. He was a member of the of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1286, Fremont, OH. Survivors include: wife: Janet Isaac of Port Clinton; children: Nancy Dick ONeal of Fremont, OH, Ernest D. Rose Isaac of Port Clinton, Irene Faulkner of Minnesota, Terrie Kim J. Theibert of Port Clinton, Jerry Diamond Isaac of Sandusky, OH, Joyce Dan Brown of Kansas, George Hinkle III of New Mexico, and Angela Isaac, Stephen Hinkle, Phillip Loretta Hinkle, all of Port Clinton. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Moses, Michael, Joseph, George, sisters: Hilda and Martha. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM, Monday, June 22, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Peter Dodd at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
