Erin Elizabeth Mason

Erin Elizabeth Mason, age 36, of Toledo, died May 18, 2021 in Ottawa County due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born February 24, 1985 in Toledo and attended Start High School where she played on the softball team. Hard working and organized, she had been employed at Errands First Logistics and at Flower Hospital in admissions. Erin was an accomplished gymnast, receiving numerous awards including winning a state championship in the uneven bars. She was also a skilled jazz, tap, and hip-hop dancer. In her free time Erin also liked to fish, especially in Ft. Myers, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and work in her flower garden. She will be remembered as a “clean freak” as well as for her eye for fashion, and love for shoes and “bling”. Erin was out going, social and had a heart of gold. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jeff Mason; mother, Tina Fitzgerald; father, Gary Hill; daughters, Mateya and Mariya Kaslly; sister, Tiffany (Daniel) Strock; nieces and nephew, Mylee, Lane, and Lennon “Smushy Girl” Strock; step grandmother, Marge Fitzgerald; and her canine companions, Golden Doodle, Blue and Australian Shepherd, Chinno. Erin was preceded in death by grandparents, Russell and Lydabelle Fitzgerald, Paul and Elizabeth Hill; and recently by her dog, Buddy. Family and friends are invited to gather from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue (west of Corey Road). Casual dress is required! Contributions, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to the Mateya and Mariya Kaslly Fund for the benefit of Erin’s daughters either at the funeral home or any KeyBank location.
