Eric Kendall Tudor

Eric Kendall Tudor, 57, of Perrysburg, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019. He was born in Honolulu, HI on April 15, 1961 to Lew and Mary (Denton) Tudor. Eric was a 1979 graduate of Perrysburg High School and received his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts and Education from Miami University. He married his sweetheart, Patricia “Patti” Ann Kontak, on June 4, 1988 and together they raised three beautiful daughters. Eric was a football coach and Athletic Director throughout Ohio for 20 years but his proudest moments were coaching his daughters in basketball and golf. Few knew that Eric was a talented artist. He combined his eye for the arts with sports. He often said “There are aesthetics in athletics and if the game is done correctly it is a ballet.” Eric’s passion built many successful businesses throughout Northwest Ohio that laid an incredible foundation for his daughters. He and his wife dreamed big and often took chances led by his ambitions. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors where he took care of his “begonias.” He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who had touched many hearts. The quality of a father can be seen in the goals, dreams and aspirations he sets not only for himself, but for his family guided by his faith in God. Eric is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Tudor; daughters, Kendall Ann Tudor, Rebecca Katherine Tudor, Macy Jane Tudor; mother, Mary Jane Denton-Tudor; father, Lew Barton (Cynthia) Tudor; sister, Rebecca Lynne (Robert Maya) Tudor; brothers, Steve Ball, Jeff (Kathy) Ball, Michael (Lori) Ball; inherited children, Nadia Mufti, Jonte Mufti; mother-in-law, Joyce Ann Kontak; siblings-in-law, Stephen William (Ronda) Kontak, David Charles (Ann) Kontak; many loving nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Dorothy Denton and Lovice and Cecilia Tudor; and father-in-law, Eugene William Kontak. Friends will be received on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133) where Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Eric’s name may be made to The Eric Tudor Memorial Fund at Citizens Bank of Perrysburg, 144 E. Front Street Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 where his family will establish a scholarship.
