Eric Scott Carros

Eric Scott Carros, 57, Toledo, Ohio passed away on March 14, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 7, 1958 at Fort Knox, Kentucky to Jimmie Franklin Carros and Violet L. (Briner) Birkenkamp and he married Virginia J. Rader on June 18, 2005. Eric was a 1976 graduate of Springfield High School. He worked for many years as a mechanic and he enjoyed racing cars. He was a jack of all trades and loved to tinker and work on machines. He loved animals especially dogs, cats and Cliff, the goat. He was a loving father, grandfather and son. Eric was a wonderful husband and he will be dearly missed. Eric is survived by his wife, Virginia J. Carros; children, Eric S. (Sarah) Carros, II, Desirae J. (Robert) Strauss, Christy T. Zirker, Marisa M. (Jesse) Frye and Richard W. (Ashley) Zirker; 16 grandchildren; parents, Jimmie F. (Linda) Carros and Violet L. Birkenkamp; siblings, Jimmie F. (Kim) Carros, Keith A. Carros, Karen, Kevin, Brian, Randy and Steve Birkenkamp. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Melville Briner and step-father, Bruce Birkenkamp. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
