Emmett G. “Buster” Estep,72, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, OH. Emmett was born in North Matewan, WV on November 13, 1944, the adopted son of Grant and Roxie Estep. He worked as the manager/supervisor of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services until his retirement in 2002. Emmett was a veteran of the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Port Clinton, OH. Emmett enjoyed bowling, playing pool in his earlier days, hunting and fishing. But his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Emmett will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Daughter: Tammy (Randy) Cochran; Son: Raleigh “Tony” (Cindy) Estep; Grandchildren: Dalton Cochran, Raleigh and Sophia Estep; Step-Grandson: Branden Meggitt; Great-Granddaughter: Harper Meggitt; Sisters: Brenda Ish, Diana Sawyer and Elaine Moynihan and many loving Nieces and Nephews. Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Allen and Jimmy Young. Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Church of Christ or the St. Jude’s Children’s Foundation, 2600 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH 43616.
