Emma Maria Lindgren

March 4, 2009 — September 21, 2025

Perrysburg

Emma Maria Lindgren, age 16, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on September 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 4, 2009, in Boise, ID, and from the very beginning brought joy, creativity, and warmth to all who knew her.

A student at Perrysburg High School, Emma was known for her bright spirit, determination, and artistic talents. She played violin in the school orchestra, sharing her love of music with her peers. She also ran cross country in Jr. High, embracing the challenge and camaraderie of the sport. Emma had a growing interest in rowing, and though she only had the chance to row one season, it was something she was deeply excited about.

Creative at heart, Emma loved working with her hands—whether working on crochet, assembling Legos and 3D puzzles, or expressing herself through drawing and painting. She had a natural artistic eye and the patience to bring her ideas to life in beautiful and thoughtful ways and loved to spend time sharing and building art with her closest friends.

Emma adored playing games, table top or video, with family and especially her brother. She also loved watching anime, listening to K-pop, and savoring bowls of ramen (don’t forget the Tapitio). Emma found joy, inspiration, and a sense of connection in it all.

Above all, she had a strong connection with animals, greatly enjoying her times at the cat café, recalling her memories of Mia, playing with Ruby, and above all loving her dog Mochi, who was her constant source of comfort and companionship.

Emma’s courage, creativity, and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those she inspired.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Joseph and Maria Lindgren; brother, William Lindgren; grandmothers, Maria Martinez and Irene Lindgren; and grandfather, Tom Lindgren.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 3:00PM at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary. The Funeral Service will begin at 6:00PM in the funeral home. It was Emma’s wish that black was not to be worn to her funeral.
