Emily T. Zeiler

Emily T. Zeiler, 95, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Toledo Hospital. She was born May 19, 1918, to Joseph and Josephine Lawecki Zygela. Emily worked at Champion Spark Plug and was a homemaker, who enjoyed her family. She loved to crochet, sew and shop. Emily was a 72 year member of Gesu Church where she belonged to the Womens Sodality and was a Scout Leader. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Geraldine Charles Papenfus, Carl Judi Zeiler, Karen Billmaier and Kent Wendy Zeiler; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George V. Zeiler; daughter, Christine Ballinger and grandson, Michael Papenfus. Friends may visit from 3-8 p.m. Monday, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, west of Corey where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Prayers will begin at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 1 p.m. at Gesu Church.
