Elwood Jr Parker

Elwood JR Parker, 68, of Genoa, Ohio died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in his residence after a lengthy illness. JR was born in Clay Center, Ohio on March 25, 1948 to Elwood S. and Ellen C. (Daly) Parker, Sr. and on June 15, 1968, in Walbridge, Ohio, he married Lavon E. Grape (Wright). Lavon preceded him in death on July 25, 2003. JR was a mechanic for many years retiring from Toms Tire. He enjoyed traveling, going to flea markets and auction sales where he both bought and sold. He was also known by his friends and family as a real jokester! Survivors of JR include his son, Jasen (Michelle) Parker, daughter, Tonya Parker, his long time companion, Kendra Boerst-Pettit and sisters, Elveta (Rev. William) Dyer and Lorena Pollard. JR was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Jesse Parker. A service for JR will be conducted at 12 Noon, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 2-8 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2016. Interment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the family.
